DECEMBER 21: Solstice!

“Solstice!” is an East Bay favorite holiday alternative since 2005. Produced every other year, this is the 7th production. “Solstice!” celebrates the longest night of the year with music and dance by some of the Bay Area’s finest performers, and includes a Solstice-inspired visual arts installation.
November 10: "Pop up" performance @ SF Art institute's grand Opening/ft mason
San Francisco Art Institute, which is the oldest art school west of the Mississippi and the last independent university in the United States focused entirely on contemporary fine art, is opening a new graduate center in Pier Two in Fort Mason -- more than 60,000 square feet with a floor to ceiling atrium that runs down the center of the building. The building houses 170 studios plus exhibit & gallery spaces that will be open to the public, in a space that is already winning lots of awards.
Nov 10th is a public celebration of the space featuring performances by a wide variety of artists and companies -- UpSwing Aerial Dance Company will be showcased. More details as announced.
Sept 28: Fundraiser & Performance at Classic Cars West

Join UpSwing from 5–7 PM for the cocktail hour. Enjoy delicious comfort food by Hella Vegan Eats and an outside beer garden featuring craft beer on tap, photo booth, an art exhibition and amazing classic cars along add on the music of Dave Worm and the aerial dance of UpSwing and you have a cocktail hour like no other. This is sure to be a night to expand the senses. UpSwing will host a fundraising raffle of gift certificates from Bay Area vegan restaurants during this 5-7 PM cocktail hour. Dave Worm and Mark Vickness of Glass House will perform music at 5:30 PM. UpSwing’s aerial performance begins at 6 PM.
UpSwing Company’s “Teardrops” will be shown in the art gallery. It is a 45 minute aerial dance. The audience can come and go in the casual venue, experiencing the work at will.
The first 40 people who arrive to the event will receive a sponsors’ bag of goodies. Sponsors include: Classic Cars West, Community Bank of the Bay, Ruth Stroup Insurance, Venn Acupuncture, Angel Cakes, Nishi Kaigan Iaido Dojo, Dr. Suzie Lee Chiropractics and Indigo Yoga & Pilates Studio.
Your chance to win cool gift certificates to some of Bay Area's finest vegan restaurants: SoundSavor with Chef Philip Gelb, Sanctuary Bistro with Chef Barry Horton, Two Mammas Vegan Kitchen, Vegan Donut Gelato and Hella Vegan Eats (located at Classic Cars West). We also are raffling off the beautiful and practical glass straws from Glass Dharma.

March 18: Teens who fly "Pop up" performance
UpSwing's Teens Who Fly will be performing at Luna Dance Institute's Silver Jubilee Dance Party, March 18th, 8-11pm at the David Brower Center, Berkeley. Seniors Moriah Godes and Najma Aronow and junior Nava Schwieg will dance in 2 original aerial pieces during the "pop up" performances between 8-10 PM. For tickets go here
