“Solstice!” is an East Bay favorite holiday alternative since 2005. Produced every other year, this is the 9th production. “Solstice!” celebrates the longest night of the year with music and dance by some of the Bay Area’s finest performers.

This year enter into a winter’s celebration, complete with dancing stars, a moon goddess and live snow globe. Experience David Worm’s soaring, blues-inflected vocals, Amar Singh Khalsa’s magical flute and Sahib Amar Kaur Khalsa’s deeply moving viola.

Aerialists performing in this show are UpSwing Company members Kirstin Brown, Hannah Dworkin, Helen Fitanides, Alissa Kaplan Soto, Elizabeth Scotten, Helium Valentine and Cara Zeisloft. “Such a wonderful, joyful performance by both the dancers and singers.” Jim Tobin - www.BayAreaDanceWatch.com

Celebrating its ninth year, UpSwing Aerial Dance Company performs dynamic, original dances in the air and on the ground, using aerial rope and harness, bungee, trapeze, lyra, silks and more. Upswing has showcased its repertoire at New York Aerial Dance Fest, YELP East Bay Summer Splash, Open Air Fest on Vashon Island on Puget Sound west of Seattle, Festival of Aerial Arts in Houston TX and has workshopped aerial dance on ropes in San Antonio/Austin/Houston, TX, at the Floor to Air Festival in Santa Barbara and in Atlanta, GA.
